Viewing today's Eclipse was a great experience! The students in attendance seemed quite interested, especially when the sky began to darken...and they were able to see it through the viewing glasses. The students were also able to find the planet Venus just adjacent to the eclipsed sun. We had a lot of fun!
For the remainder of the week and all of next week, students will be learning about the cell structure and the functions of each organelle within the cell. Students will also begin working on a cell project and presentation to coincide with the classroom lessons. I will be explaining each of the format options to the students tomorrow (8/22/17). Students will be able to choose one of the following formats to do their project on:
This project is the first of several major projects the students will be doing throughout the year. Students will be able to work on their projects during class time...which should give them plenty of time to complete them by the due dates. An exception to that will be any edible projects...which, for obvious reasons, will need to be completed at home. So get ready to hear all about Cells and their Organelles in the coming 2 weeks. The students are LEARNING!
Until the next update...be well!
